Bishop Justus CoE School

Geography

Geography lessons at Bishop Justus are built on a combination of applied knowledge and a wide range of skills. The lessons are sequenced to enable students to progressively develop their skills whilst allowing for reflection and progress.

Lessons consist of:

  •       Retrieval practice emphasising recall of core knowledge.
  •       Enquiry question to guide each sequence of lessons, with regular links made back to the enquiry question through the course of each lesson.
  •       Application of skills e.g. location, map skills, fieldwork, analyse resources
  •       Critical thinking: allow students to think deeply and evaluate core issues
