How We Spend Our Grants

Pupil Premium

As a Christian school we have a particular duty to help the disadvantaged. Jesus lead by example and taught us of the need to bring justice to the world. This means that we need to prioritise those in need of the most help so that they are not at a disadvantage in life. It is good that the Government gives a Pupil Premium Grant that we are able to use fully to try and remove the barriers to their success and enable those students to flourish – so that all may have ‘life in all its fullness’.

The Secretary of State for Education lays down the following terms and conditions on which assistance is given in relation to the pupil premium grant (PPG) payable to schools and local authorities for the financial year beginning 1 April 2019. PPG provides funding to support schools with the following:

  • raising the attainment of disadvantaged pupils of all abilities to reach their potential
  • supporting children and young people with parents in the regular armed forces
