Sociology

The aim of Sociology is to empower students with skills needed to analyse the models and processes of society within the frameworks of a diversity of experience, equipping them with invaluable skills to understand themselves, their social groups and to achieve beyond the subject into life. Through developing critical thinking skills students will foster an informed and active participation in an increasingly complex world, equipping them with the ability to be open to the agency they have in their own lives and in the wider world and to use it responsibly to empower themselves and others to flourish, living life in its fulness.
